About Plumbline

Plumbline republishes what official government licensing records say about contractors, with a link to the source for every fact, so a homeowner or their AI agent can check a contractor before hiring. We show what the record says and the date we saw it. The issuing agency's live page is always authoritative for today.

What this is not

• Not a rating, score, or recommendation. We do not rank contractors.
• Not a background check. We report occupational-license records (business and individually held), never dossiers. A page for an individually held license shows that person's own license record as the issuing board publishes it, and nothing else.
• Not a consumer report. Do not use Plumbline for employment, credit, insurance, or housing decisions.
• Not complete. We tell you what we checked and what we did not. A "no records found" is never a clean bill of health, and never a determination that a business is unlicensed.

We never take money from contractors, never sell leads, and never sell your queries. See our charter, the methodology, or report an error.
